Picklumo is a research-based comparison site. We help you compare portable power stations, solar generators, and home backup systems using published data — not marketing claims.
What We Don’t Do
We do not physically test units. We want to be clear about this, because many review sites are not.
We are not an engineering lab. We do not run load tests, measure real-world capacity, or open units to inspect cells. When you read that a product delivers 1,800W continuous output, that number comes from the manufacturer’s published specification — not from our bench.
Our Sources
Every comparison on this site is built from:
- Manufacturer specifications — capacity, output, port configuration, battery chemistry, cycle ratings. Sourced directly from official product documentation.
- Aggregated verified-purchase reviews — we read hundreds of verified buyer reviews per product and report recurring themes, both positive and negative.
- Published third-party testing — where independent labs or established outlets have tested a unit, we cite them and link out.
- Certification records — UL, ETL, and safety listings where applicable.
Where Numbers Come From
Every spec figure on this site links to its source. If we can’t source a number, we don’t publish it.
