Romalar Story: It Started with a Conversation That Broke the Rules

Before founding Romalar, I worked as a sales consultant at a well-known jewelry company. The rules were simple: prioritize efficiency, push high-margin products, and quickly move on to the next target once the customer paid.

Until a newlywed couple walked in, and I became their receptionist.

It was supposed to be a standard reception procedure, but something "unexpected" happened that afternoon. We got too involved—talking not just about budgets and styles, but about their love marathon, their anxieties about the future, and the promise they wanted this ring to express.

In those few hours, I forgot the company's "sales scripts." I wasn't pitching to clients; I was advising them like an old friend on what suited them best, even dissuading them from buying an expensive but impractical piece.

That conversation didn't just move them; it shook me to my core. I realized I could no longer return to a system that only stared at "carat counts" and "gross margins." I wanted to build a place that holds not just top-tier brilliance, but a soul that understands you.

So, I chose to resign and found Romalar. I hope that at Romalar, we are listeners of stories first, and deliverers of jewelry second. Before any gem is set, it must find the memory it is meant to guard. When Romalar was just established and nothing was on track yet, I tried contacting that couple to tell them I had my own brand. To my emotion, they didn't hesitate at all and directly became Romalar's very first customers.
